COSMETIC PLANT meant from the very beginning the name of a relationship with people, rather than the name of simple products. From this point of view, the leap from the moment of the appearance of the first products to the slow contouring of the brand or, later, to the recent rebranding, can be considered a route with several constants: on the one hand, the validated certainty scientifically of a huge beneficent power of plants, on the other hand, the continuous orientation towards the needs of consumers.
Where did it all start?
The story unfolds in Cluj-Napoca in 1991 in a room of less than 40 square meters with the role of both a laboratory and a production workshop. Author, but also the main character of her own story is Ileana Mester, a pharmacist with an experience, at that time, of over 20 years in cosmetology.
So where did it start? From plants and from Mrs. Mester's belief that their potential can be amplified through laboratory research, science, innovation. She started shyly but confidently with creams created in small batches, her hand spinning in the mixer (improvised from a pot at the beginning), her hand writing and pasting the labels on the products, her hand then squeezing us and us hands of satisfied customers, thanking them.
How did it continue?
1997 was the year of change. From Mrs. Mester's small workshop to a serious factory located in a suitable space, from the improvised mixer to a completely new line of professional equipment. Passion was slowly becoming a business, and the market confirmed that.
2004 was the year of the ISO 9001: 2000 certified quality leap from Dekra Stuttgart.
2007 was distinguished by the completion of the construction of a new and modern building for the future headquarters of the company.
2009 is marked by the transfer to the management of the company of Mrs. Susana László, the daughter of Mrs. Mester.
2013 was the year of stabilization: the new headquarters will house the factory, the warehouse, but also the administrative offices. At the same time, the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certification is obtained, in accordance with the ISO 22716: 2007 Standard.
2014 was the time to complete a refurbishment project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund in which two new state-of-the-art equipment was purchased. Production capacity increased by 70%, reaching approximately 2.5 million products per year.
2019 comes with changes that will last until 2020. It is an elaborate marketing research, continued with a rebranding that includes the development, in stages, of an extensive repackaging process, but also the launch of new products.
The story goes on
With the rebranding, COSMETIC PLANT assumes a communication territory whose dome is the idea of meeting yourself through the meeting of plants. Thus, “Embrace your nature” becomes a long-term commitment in support of the idea that the COSMETIC PLANT brand will accompany, guide and encourage any desire or effort of people to connect with themselves through the power of plants, through the power of nature.
